I watched it yesterday and noted the similarities between Holly Go Lightly and my husband. So attractive and self confident. Playing by their own rules. Who wouldn't be attracted to their fun loving, fantasy and adventure filled life. Being so self confident that they rate themselves at a "10" and having the composure to make everyone believe it. No wonder it's hard to imagine life without them or be willing to let go and walk away. My husband has the power to take me places that I would never even imagine going on my own. He has the self confidence and where with all to deliver presentations to board meetings while I am so meek I cannot even sit with a coworker and carry on a conversation without feeling self conscious. I can see why we find these loved ones of ours so iressistably attractive and dread the thought of living without them. Life can be so predictable and boring. I couldn't help but see the reality of my infatuation when I was looking at it from a different perspective |
