Norma: I was just reading about Fibro and stress. I'm NOT looking for excuses, but it made me wonder. Perhaps there is something there. I just have no energy and I do have pain. Going to ask the doc about that too. Still small steps and I'm never, ever giving up. Maybe bipolar and still some Fibro. I can deal, I always have.

Now, that could be the answer...something physical that has nothing at all to do with bipolar. You might just tire easily... I don't know what they can do for it, but, like you said if they can break up your work week then you can get some rest. That is not looking for excuses, you are just looking for answers....hugs

Make sure they dont try to pass it off as arthritis...thats a very common diagnosis to joint pain...

Hi, Otter dear, get a complete check up, a while back, pre-diagnosis, I was in constant almost crippling pain, constantly wiped out.. mine seems to have been stressed induced, and the level of stress that I was under was really no more if not less than what I had been under before.

Bipolar and I had fibro, but it seemed to have went away. But that was while my husband had a good job, and I only worked at home. Perhaps that does have something to do with it. At any rate, you all will probably get tired of my SMALL STEPS mantra, but it's working for me. Norma told me she was working a math paper when a child and was overwhelmed, her grandma said to do one problem at a time. I'm doing that. Funny, Norma but that really stuck with me too. Carmen, maybe I need more attention. That "Otter Dear" just makes me feel cared for. In my family there is affection, but its sort of done in a rough manner. Hey Kid is my Dad's greeting and I know it means he loves me, husband is kind of the same way. Not to be too mushy, but I may ask them to call me something really nice like "Dear" cause it just warms my heart.

Just picture a page with about 30 problems on it. And each one is a little harder than the one before it. As you go, cross them off...LOL it still works for me 50 yrs later. Momma taught me that lesson when I was 8 yrs old.

I always liked the book THE HOBBIT. There is a line in there about all journeys start with the first step....I will have to look it up...but, that first step took them on quite a journey, if you have ever read the Lord of the Rings...Trilogy. LOL LOL

from The Hobbit by Tolkien

The Road goes ever on and on

Down from the door where it began.

Now far ahead the Road has gone,

And I must follow, if I can,

Pursuing it with eager feet,

Until it joins some larger way

Where many paths and errands meet.

And whither then? I cannot say.

I have read the trilogy. The movies were good too. I guess maybe that's one of the problems. The problems get harder as you get more tired. As for me, Norma, I'm about rested, don't work til Tuesday. I see my dr. tomorrow, even thought I may have to demand an appointment. I've done all the other things I said I was going to. So I'm accountable and ready to start the new work week, which incidentially is three days on, one off and two on, just how I like. I'm working the problems, one by one.

I'm going to my doc tomorrow to see about different meds. I've been trying a lot of different ones and haven't found it yet. My GP who is all I can afford right now has let me do the research and I'm going to ask for Lamictal. Normally the problem with meds is that they make me so sleepy and dizzy. The Zyprexa was a disaster! I could feel it working. My thoughts slowed down and I felt good, but so sleepy I just could have fell asleep sitting up. It lasted about 12 hours. So I cam out of a way too sleepy state to racing thoughts and lots to do because i had slept my day off away. I have great hopes for this one and just wanted to hear about what you all have experienced.
