When I was manic for the first time I picked up and moved to NC alone and away from my family.....Needless to say my life down there was not good. I hungout with a bad crowd and lived life on the edge. When I finally got on the right medication and became stable, I moved home and got my life back on track. What was the craziest thing you ever did while manic?

Hi mommy! Good to see you posting. I don't consider this crazy but some other people do. I dressed up like a pink ninja™ in all black with a pink bandana around my head. I was armed with pink and purple spray paint. At midnight I creeped out of my house and the plan was to stop, drop, and roll into my neighbors yard. I was going to spray her bush pink and spray a huge purple happy face in her yard with purple horns. But my conscience got the best of me so I just stop, drop, and roll in my yard and sprayed my bush pink.

I continue to have the urge while manic to trash a grocery store. I want to start with the produce and stomp on the tomatoes. I want to throw milk galloons at canned vegetables and knock them down. I want to knock down all the cereal boxes in the aisle. I want to take pink,blue, and green and write words of wisdom on the freezer glass doors. Least but not last I want to permently mute the self check out voice that continues to scream at me to " Please put the items in the bag" Thinking about playing grocery cart bumper cars to.

in town there is a 5 story building i go to the top of the roof stand on the edge & look down @ every one walking . what a rush!!!!

The craziest thing(s) are entirely too X-rated to post on here. The next craziest thing is too X-rated. The next craziest thing...well, let's just say they were x-rated and so wasted I barely remember.

Craziest - left husband after only 3 weeks of being married; moved in with a tattooed up guy named Barry that was let's see 16 years older than me (but he looked young until he drank too much alcohol, wore it on his face well). Lives with him in a house with 2 other guys with no stove, no heat, no air conditioning, tried to get preggo by him, wanted to marry him on the spot, and drank from Thursday - Sunday. (Why I start on Thursday I don't know; my work week always ended on Friday still so Thursday I got an early start?)

Yep. That's the craziest thing I've ever done.

Mommy, I don't get mania, but in a deep hypomanic episode at 29, I came up with the Super idea of moving to British Columbia to be an assistant to one of our Olympic team riders......

Oh yes that was a GREAT idea! I have been riding a long time, so I do have credentials, BUT I have severe arthritis in my back, so even riding Fi is too much for me at times.

What stopped me was the brutal salary because I couldn't afford to keep Fi the way I like to.....thanks Fi! Beth

I broke up with my boyfriend of one year, started dating my best friend(a guy,lol)decided I wanted to get married and be a mom. Well four months later I was pregnant at 19. I married him at twenty. It was the best manic decision of my life. We have been married for 13 years and have four kids!!!

Ha, what an interesting topic. I did a lot of stupid stuff when i was manic, mainly partying and drinking alot with 1000 boyfriends. I did one day go to the airport and hopped on a flight to vermont because i had some friends there. just left without saying anything to anyone, except like 2 friends. I really felt like i had to get away from the worldwind i was in down here. I also totalled my car high and wasted on a pole, ran through the rain during a tornado to a chikfila at 5 in the morning and tried to break into use the phone because my cell was dead. needless to say when i got back to my totalled car the cops were there and i went to jail for DUI. Doh!

I solved the mind/body problem that has eluded philosophers for centuries. I wrote a page after page, many hundreds, with diagrams to boot. After my episode, I noticed none of it made sense!

Let me tell you all the philosophical and age-old intellectual problems that I've solved over many, many manias.

It's mostly gibberish, disconected, discombobulated ideas, much like the end of Nietzsche's life when he was crazed by neurosyphillis or what people now think was frontaltemperal dementia.

In my manias, I always turned to books and writing like a madman!

Maybe the craziest was to "Surf' my race car down the front straight after a win.
