my husband was diagnosed with bipolar 4 years ago after 2 trips to a mental hospital and a suicide attempt. We have been married over 20 years with the issue starting 1 week after the wedding. He would get manic and outraged with jealousy. He has been in mental hospitals before, rehab and numerous doctors. He also is addicted to cocaine and gambling. He got clean for a little over 2 years with the proper meds and 3 weeks ago he relapsed. I found out he has been using again for months...it just got ugly 3 weeks ago. He gets so outraged. He accuses me of having an affair which I'm not and never have. He follows me, stalks me, goes through my phone records, bank accounts, credit card accounts and analyzes everything. He even makes accusation from way back. It is so abusive and reminds me of my father which also had bipolar. He would accuse others of doing things to hurt him.

I have a teenage son and he is so bothered by this. I am so tired of this type of life and feel quilty beacause I feel that way...but feel I can't take much more.

I am in so much pain for you just thinking of what you are going through. Just remember you didnt do anything wrong. And that he is sick, very sick. Seriously - coming from me, a girl that was a huge cocaine addict - if he is using again and not trusting you, PLEASE go get help for you and your son.

Your husband needs help bad and he is obviously dually diagnosed by what you are saying. God is huge in all this. I know He is the only reason I am on this planet having the life I have. Reach Out!
