 I am not reallly sure how to describe this but I'll try. The other day I was sitting in my chair at work when suddenly I got this feeling like I had been shocked (A lot like the feeling you get in your hand and arm when you touch an electric fence but I felt it in my head) and then I think I blacked out but I know I had this intense sensation like I was falling. I am not positive but I think it lasted for a few seconds and then I kind of came back to my senses but found myself sitting completely upright in my chair like usual but I was hanging on to the sides of my chair for dear life. I started a new medication a couple of weeks ago and it has made me dizzy occasionally but this went beyond dizzy. I had a similar incident again yesterday but not to the same extent. Before this I have never had anything like that happen but I have also been on the new med for a couplel of weeks so I am trying to figure out the likelyhood that is related to the med or something else. Anyone have any ideas?

 Whew...that is scary. You might want to call the doctor who prescribed the meds to describe what happened. Could be the medicine, could be something else...hope you are ok.

 Thanks Norma, I think I'm okay once the inital confusion wore off I think I am just more worried about what it was. Unfortunately my pdoc is using the holiday weekend to move his office as well and is closed tomorrow through next Monday. I had considered calling him today but had a family emergency and never go to it. I kind of figured that if it doesn't happen again then I will just talk to him about it at my next appointment but I am a bit nervous about not knowing what it was.

KrissyH, No, I have been on Lamictal, Wellbutrin Sr and Ambien pretty steady for the last couple of years and we have been trying to find an addional antidepresant to augment it all for the past few months. The one that I have been taking for the last couple of weeks is Trazodone. I am not sure that I have ever heard of Invega.

 ...just asking because I was started on Invega a little bit ago and ive been having some strange sensations...hope you feel better soon...

btw, im also on Lamictil, and depakote and a few others
