Another really crappy Sunday. I hate these depression crashes and I know there is no solution to it, just part of the disorder. I start the new job on Tues and my anxiety level is off the scale in addition to the bottoming out crap, It's like being wound up and simultaneously being in the pit are competing and I'm getting crunched somewhere in the middle. Did I mention I'm bipolar lol.

Dear Lobo,

I've changed jobs many times, and I know the stress of a new start. I have another one to start in 3 weeks.

Just remember why you got the job. It was a combination of experience, skills and the qualities they saw in you when they talked to you. You don't have to be an exact match, but someone who will try to adapt.

You need to come home each day and debrief onto a pad the important things that you learned and the things you need to chase up. Don't be afraid to ask twice (or in my case 4,5,6... times, ECT was a bitch). Sometimes I do spend extra time until I have the processes straight. I must admit I do, and always have used a bit of elevated mood to get through work, that's how the bp first became apparent. You have to believe that even if you can not do it as perfectly as you would wish, that you are doing a job that you can bring your skills and unique abilities to. Start from there.

Lobo, sorry to hear about the Sunday, that sucks, the nerves about the new job are understandable, your entering the unknown zone, most folks don't like that, I hate trying to get a job, then starting the job, after the first week, that is gone..

Like Fizzio said, you've gotten the job because of the experience, and skills that you brought to the table, Fizzio had a great idea there, about the tablet.. Take some chill time today, just blank the mind, and relax as much as you can.. Your going to do fine, I have faith in that. Tomorrow evening you can tell us what a wonderful job you've done.

Thanks fizzio and carmen...those are some great suggestions and I feel better...still a little anxious, but not paralyzing. I will be reporting to the regional office first which is 2 hours away and probably staying overnight so I won't have access to a computer until probably Wednesday night. Thanks for the well wishes and prayers.

Thanks so very much. I never needed this much encouragement before the BP kicked in, but I guess there is no denying it and I need each of you and thank you from that wee part of my heart that the BP hasn't found yet. I will let you know as soon as I can.
