bejeweled- I really don't think they will keep her if she is of no danger to herself or others. I really hope things go better for you today than yesterday. Talk with you soon. Jeanne

WOW, Bejeweled. Just got done reading this thread. I'm with the others--what that woman did is simply OUTRAGEOUS!!!

How is Katy today? And how are YOU doing today???

"Is this a blessing? Or is it a curse?
Does it get any better? Can it get any worse?
Will it go on forever? Is it over tonight?
Does it come with the darkness? Does it bring out the light?
Is it richer than diamonds? Or just a little cheaper than spit?"--Jim Steinham

Bejeweled - I hope Katy is doing okay. That is just amazing. I can't believe being off meds for 3 days, justifies switching her meds all together?I am with Carmen!I have been off of my meds for longer than 3 days (not a good idea by the way!) But, if they were working before & you just ran out or just stopped taking them for some dorky reason..Once they get back into my system I am fine???

I hope she can find a new Dr. I hope things work out for her soon!I will be thinking of both of you!

The meds weren't doing anything much except making her more depressed. According to the psychiatrist she wasn't even on theraputic doses which made no sense to him. She is fine now. lol. I am WAITING for the elevator to start falling again. I hate this feeling, you KNOW it's coming and all you can do is wait. She was in a good mood all day yesterday, called me and told me after work she was checking into the hospital. Got home, and hour later - she didn't need to go anymore because her mood changed. Ugh! lol Whatever. She is an adult. I can't make her go. She has new job prospects on the horizon, so she is excited about that which is good. So far no major drama. I am looking forward to seeing that new psychiatrist with her and the new therapist.

It seems so strange. She is no different then she has been for six years, she definately is more miserable now. But SHE isn't much different - if that makes sense. I am the one that is different. All the things she's done. Now I see her behavior differently then I used to. But before this diagnosis, I didn't give it a second thought. It was just how she was. It is all so bizarre....

You have delighted us long enough.

bejeweled-you amaze me with your dedication to this woman. you are such a good friend and lover. if all of us had family memebers who cared like you do (and i do, too), we could all call ourselves lucky/blessed. katy is both.

peace and love to you.

I'm confused, Bejeweled were the medications working for her? or was I reading your post wrong?
