I was very recently diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. My mother has it, and I noticed I responded to some situations in the same manner as her-- SO, it was so surprise to me. However, I don't speak with her so I really don't know much about the disorder yet. So I have many questions, the one I wish to know the answer to the most is, does anyone else find that when they hear a specific noise or walk into a disorganized room they feel a sudden onset of symptoms? Only recently I find that the noise from airplane engines and basketball dribbling drives me to a manic episode. I also feel very angry and panicky when my floor isn’t clear. If the symptom is related to BD, then will the medications they use for BD help with this symptom?

i'v jst been diagnosed with Bipolar and so i don't know much about it either. I thought what u were saying about triggers was really interesting. I don't tend to get object or sound triggers...well apart from noisey rooms or situations they tend to make me manic. What u said about u feeling angry and panicy about floors not being clear is like what i get with doors being left open or things that i'v placed being moved but i feel like that about those things because i have aspergers so i have a few things i like a certain way lol.

oh and I wouldn't know if meds would make ur symptoms go away but i'm on meds at the moment and noisey situations still send me into a manic episode but the meds havn't sctually kicked in yet so i wouldn't know if they help.

i don't know if this is of any help to u but oh well.

take care xx
