MDJunction to me

Sylvia4648"I have suffered from depression most of my life, but had some long, non-depressed times. The last 16 years have been an on-going, constantly worsening nightmare for me medically, socially and with my family. 11/2008 to the present has been the worst time in my life, and new things just keep piling up. During that time I’ve gone from being mostly homebound to being totally homebound due to the errors of about 2 dozen doctors who overmedicated me so badly that I came home w/ 4 conditions I didn’t go in with. I spent months wanting to die, and finding MDJ may well have saved my life. It’s one of the worst feelings to know that nobody on earth needs you for anything; but now that I’ve been a group leader for awhile, there are people here who need me. Thanks MDJ." (Sylvia4648)

I smoke and in the process of stopping smoking. May go to a hypnosis. Haven't tried to actually "stop" i have this "love/hate" relationship....smoking is my crutch and helps me deal with feelings like anger, anxiety, sadness, whatever pops up. I need to stop for health purposes.

I did smoke, And have sucessfully quit. It's the truth when they say to just take it a day at a time. I just have never given into stopping to buy another pack. I get in the car sometimes, and almost to the gas station, then I feel like, "NO" and I get a tramendous rush when I pass the place and keep going. One more temtation conquered. I have not heard much about hypnosis, but...maybe that will work. I wish you all the best, it's not easy, but you can do it. We can do anything! ~Jenn

I smoke but am trying to quit. I have gotten down to 1/2 a pack at most per day. I smoke about 1/2 a cigarette at a time then wait an hour or two to smoke the other 1/2. It seems to be working except when I am at home when everyone around me is smoking. I just dont want it anymore and it is so hard. I wish you luck. Maybe we can quit together!

Another mind trick I play with myself is "what else could I spend this money on"..I'm usually pretty broke, so it works. Just a little thought.
