MDJunction to me

carmen33"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

What if your husband has mentally exhausted you to the point of not being able to handle or listen to any of his concerns or breakdowns?

I swear I feel like I suppress so many emotions to keep my family together I don't know what my true feelings are anymore... or all I feel is rage when he expresses his pain to me...

I hate it. How can I be reacting this way to a man I have been madly in love with for over 12 years...

And yes, I am in the business of caring for people too.

I know exactly how you feel.. I too feel the same and am in the health field and we have also been together 12 years.. I finally drew the line and told him he needs to see the therapist and I cannot hear everything I deal with patients all day and to come home and hear more is tiresome!! He agreed n I also told him to write a journal that might help I said I can not hear everything and if u continue I will be forced to leave. Be strong find time for yourself also. I'll pray for you God bless you.

I journal and it helps me. My bpso has a long time friend that listens also. I'm just sick of the idea that he can complain and dream and promise without having to be accountable for it. I would like to not have to worry about the bills because my partner takes care of it! Nope, despite my own health issues I get up and go to work.

I know healthy boundaries is the answer but I can't seem to enforce my consequences and that sucks.

Good luck
