MDJunction to me

Hazeldee"MDJunction means that I no longer have to feel like I am the only person in
the world with pericarditis. It means that I can talk to others who know
how stressful and how painful having pericarditis can be. It means that I
connect with others to discuss treatments that have or haven't worked for us, so that we have a leg to stand on. I think that having my friends at
MDJunction has allowed me to better mentally and emotionally process my
diagnosis and what it means to me. I feel so lucky to have this community
available to me. I use MDJunction as a way to use my experience to help
others. Reaching out to help others is the only solace I have found since
being diagnosed with pericarditis.

I'm trying to get motivated to go out in the heat and weed my flowers. I'd much rather stay in the nice cool house and read posts, though. Smile

Doin good today - I saw my therapist yesterday - awesome guy,, I just spew my guts to him and always feel better. i paid this time,, been stashing $$ Smile I sent him a card about the free visit last month and he said he appreciated it - I was surprised he remembered. he's cool.

How did your counselling go Living? I feel like its a maintenance thing,, every 30 days.. LOL

Even if j won't go I still will... he goes to his dr tomorrow. Mainly to get refills. But he does some talk therapy with him too... better than nothing.

I wish we had some of your rain LIB!!!

My shrink is this super weird guy. Nothing I could do or say would shock him. I like that!

LOL I picture an Einstein-looking guy Cat... something weird like that?? LOL

Living, you could probably tell your shrink a few things.. LOL! She is probably stumped with it all...

Mine is about 65? like a grandpa figure - he has 2 boys too, of course they are getting their phd's or something brainy like that... kinda nerdy in a cool way - he was at the psych ward when my husband was there as a teen and jumped out the window - so he knows what I'm dealing with Blink Blink Laughing

I went to a super old guy last year. Didn't click. He'd just give me that deer in the headlight look too. I didn't shed one tear. It was like a formal business meeting. He just took notes, then I'd stop and see if he'd say something; and when he didn't I'd just add more. Still looking for someone new, perhaps a woman this time.

It's raining here too. Of course, it stopped raining the second I was in my office.Blink

Baby is kicking, I think he wants me to say hi.
