MDJunction to me

cinderella"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

you're welcome sweetheart.

I'm glad the article helped..

I know I saw myself in it with the mental abuse..

I had never heard of it till someone else spoke about it on this site..

hugs to you!!

I have been reading the book that you all suggested.."Why does he do that" and it has certainly expanded my whole understanding or misunderstanding, which ever seems more likely of the abusive man that I am married to. I am not sure what catagory to put him in as he seems to fit into several quite well.

He has been somewhat quiet of late and I wouldnt say" respectful" but not horrible either so life has been okay for the last few weeks.

I have decided not to leave right now and have joined a couple of groups of women just meeting for company and coffee and I like that. He doesnt seem to mind that and he even cleaned the floors the other day while I was gone. Miracle!!!

Anyway, am waiting for the next verbal attack but so far so good. I know it hasnt gone away but from reading the book I think I have learned to react differently at the next blow up. Will keep ya posted.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the July 4th weekend! I ordered myself a new Jeep Grand Cherokee on Friday and going to pick it up next weekend so am so excited to get it! take care all!

this is an awsome list. I have been feeling so guilty and stupid for calling 911 on my husband when he broke our van door off and tried to jump from the moving van WITH MY KIDS BACK THERE. The police made me feel even more stupid by telling me it wasn't their job to sort out our arguments. Told me they couldn't do anything unless he was hurting me or the kids that day. Then they asked me if i thought he was suicidal... hmm lets see he just tried to jump from a van while driving down the road... what do you think?

oh well I feel better now even if he won't forgive me for it Dizzy

No way should you feel guilty! You ABSOLUTLEY did the right thing. You & the children were in danger as a result of his instability. Who gives a shit if he doesn't forgive you? It's not about him, it is about the safety of you & the kids. Don't let him turn it around. Tell him his actions caused you no choice, and you would do it again, if necessary. I applaud you!!!! I think back to a time when my ex wouldn't leave the house & started breaking stuff & punching holes in doors. I kick myself everyday for not calling 911 on him them. Kuddos to you!!!

Film: And so what are the police insinuating.... You have to wait to call 911 until he beats the shit out of you or kills one of your kids.... BULLSHIT. I have 911 on my speeddial. I've called them so often I'm sure they sigh when they see my number come up....

No I won't back down
You can stand me up at the gates of Hell
But I won't back down

No I'll stand my ground
Won't be turned around
And I'll keep this world from dragging me down
Gonna stand my ground
And I won't back down"
