My hubby is on Abilify. He says he gets side effects like flashing lights and can't sleep. However I must note that he couldn't sleep BEFORE taking the med and he's a hypochondriac so who knows about flashing lights (which is not even a symptom that came out in testing). Lithium is also another option, but not great, as it keeps sodium (I think) in the body and it builds up. Bottom line is - get on something and you will find what works for you. THEN please go to "talk therapy" i.e.- counseling with a specialist in bi polar. These pleas are on behalf of your friends and family.... |
