MDJunction to me

neshama48"Having Crohn's Disease for over 26 years, in the first few years, it lonely and isolating.
Though now my disease is in a near perfect remission, my friends and family are sympathetic to me, but I can not talk to them about this disease. When I stumbled across MD Junction, and met others who had the same disease I was not alone in battling the disease. MD Junction is like a second family, without the judgement or guilt of having Crohn's Disease, but they do give you love and support.

My granddaughter is 19 and is bipolar. She can be the most loving 19 year old or the worst monster u ever met. I love her dearly but each day is a struggle. She is very immature and lazy as can be. She lives like a pig. Please help me!

Hi, and welcome to the group. I'm sorry you are going through such a hard time with her. Does she see a therapist and/or psychitrist? Proper treatment can definitely help even things out for her. If she is seeing a doctor, try to express your concerns to him/her, so they can make adjustments in her treatment if needed. We're here if you need to talk.

My granddaughter has the best of treatment. She was selected to being served by a program called the ACT Team who provide 24/7 doctor available ans social workers 24/7 also. The Psychiatrist has changed her meds and still she has severe problems. She is so lucky to have the love of her family. I wish she were capable of appreciating all of the people trying to hel[p her.

Some day, she might be. I'm glad she's getting good help. I know sometimes it takes a lot of patience to get things right. It's not the type of illness where the same thing works the same way for each person, and I bet it's complicated even more by her going through adolescence due to changing hormone levels. It must be so hard on your family to watch her struggle with this. Much love to all of you.
