Hi Red,

I have the same question for both you and Teri. What role does the group leader play in the group? I have never been part of this kind of support group before so I don't really understand the full dynamics of how things work. Just curious; I thought it may help me use the group to it's fullest.

Thanks for your input.

Hey, Babble,

Let's see if I get this right, lol. Our job is to welcome newcomers and help them use the site or answer any questions they might have. (That's my favorite part).

We also watch the posts in case any need to be edited (bad language or something like that). If we see that, we will ask the poster to edit. Also, we scan for possible spammers.

We are here if any one is not getting along on a post (fighting, rudeness, etc). We have the ability to lock a post if it is upsetting a lot of people. (Luckily, I've never had to do that here). That means no one else can post there. We can remind posters to stick to the topic of the original post, to make threads easier to follow.

Just stuff like that. Did I cover it, Red?

So, if you ever have a problem or question, feel free to contact one of us.

Hugs,

Terri

Babblej, I think Terri got it all. We are here to monitor and help where we can. If there are every any questions or problems that arise please feel free to contact us or Roy (site administrator).

We are not only group leaders, we are also supporters and supported by these groups. My wife of 25 years has bipolar. I am also a group leader for the Bipolar and Bipolar II support groups.
