Yes it is very exhausting.

I am concerned about what the counselor will be able to do for us, but I'm trying to remain hopeful.

Oh, then you need help and support even more. So, you have to get help to deal with it then? You are very brave and strong to stay with him and support him.

I guess I don't see any other way.

And yes I am afraid to be alone.

To have no one to talk to about how I'm really feeling.

When things are okay, I feel hopeful and positive.

When he starts the rages I feel violated and wish I could escape. I hate what it does to him and us.

I am on my own roller coaster ride.

I know in some cases, if it's a personality disorder, they may be able to use behavior modification to help him relearn his responces. And, if he is aware of it, he might be able to realize what's going on.

I just checked for you. There is a support group for borderline personality disorder here, under "other support groups", and mental health. It doesn't look very active, but it might be worth taking a look at. It said it was for those who have it and families of them.

And, of course, we are happy to have you here, too.

Thankyou Terri,

I did join that group when they first started.

I check in now and then but have only seen people with the disorder posting.

Maybe at some point it will become more active.

It seems at least with the site I've been on people are coming out of the woodwork so to speak with the disorder. Maybe it's just a sign of the times.

Thankyou for the time you have spent with me this evening. I appreciate it.

I will try to have hope that therapy helps my husband.

Maybe we'll have a breakthrough.

I need to go change a load of laundry, but hope to talk to you again soon. It's good that you have the right diagnosis now. There is a very nice group that usually posts during the day, weekdays. Hang in there - I hope to talk to you again soon! It was nice hearing from you, but I wish things were better for you.
