It has been a LONG time since I have been on here. Things were going pretty good. Well, my hubby has been off of his meds. now for awhile and things are starting to go downhill again. My body is mentally worn out from all I went through last year with him, and I don't know if I can go through it again. I have anxiety and depression issues and I was on meds. for awhile to help me. I keep trying to tell me hubby to find a new pdoc so he can get on meds. again. The one he had before he didn't care for. He had poor bed side manners. I told him there are more out there for him to look into. He just says nothing is going to help him, what's the point, etc. How do I get him to realize that he needs to go and find someone and get back on meds.? I tell him to think about me and his son, but he just says he will just leave then. But, I don't think he would really leave. I think that is just him talking sometimes. Ahhh! I just don't want to go down this path again. My son and I have went through enough already. Thanks for listening to me.

I'm an Advocate

Hey kimmy it's frustrating for your husband as it was for my wife being a medication experiment and having an uncaring doc. When he's level and his own self talk to him about finding a doc that he's comfortable with. It took a year of doc's and meds to finally get my wife to where she is now. We have a list of meds in my wife's record that worked or didn't and it's a long one but was helpful to our current doc in getting a good combination. Anyway you gotta think of your son and yourself too take care................

kimmyannie , I am sorry that things have went sour again for you and your family . I am not sure you can convince someone to help themselves if they are not willing . as you have and i have i know you can be encouraging but that is all one can do
