MDJunction to me

Dit"I've been a grateful member here for over 4 yrs this place has changed my life of course for the better, coming to the groups has enabled me to no longer feel so alone. As a group leader for the Bipolar Support group I can relate to others and am expressing my experience strength and hope and this is very rewarding, I've also made many supportive friends here whom I talk to some daily. I used to have a lot of 'lows' since becoming member here at MdJunction I no longer have these lows." (Dit)

I hear so many stories of negative things happening and families falling apart. Does anyone have a success stories about their BP person taking care of themselves, getting stable and living a decent life? PLEASE let their be success stories!

My fiance, after many arguments, is finally taking good care of himself. I have since moved to be with him and we are closer than ever. More later I'm on the subway...no service in a minute.

Tomorrow is our 25th anniversary!

W00t

We've had some rough times, but lots of good times, too. He takes care of himself. We love each other very much.

We have 3 wonderful children.

(Remember, most of the people with success stories probably don't have the need to join a support group, so it may seem worse than it actually is).

I like people until they give me reason not to, she said. Some days they just drop like flies, though, she added. - Brian Andreas

Robin, I know it's difficult to read so many stories of pain and suffering but once in a while there are a few I've read that were I guess what you would call a success. The truth is that loving someone with BP can be a back and forth journey and unless they find a cure I don't know that being with someone with BP can ever feel "normal" but if two people can find enough love, and take care of themselves and eachother they can get through the tough times, but that can be said about all relationships. Also I read stories where the "well" partner after a long struggle and much pain finally got out and are now working on rebuilding their life and to me that too is a success story, just a different kind. All you can do is hope that you will find yours. I do and I hope all here will in one form or another. Stay strong.

laurag, I'm working on keeping my serenity. I have a lot of fears of the unknown and abandonment, however, I am working through them. It's odd but I feel guilty for feeling serene at times when I know they are suffering. But I know I deserve it.

Cheerful ~Robin

TerriTee,

Good point about the support group and how the people that are REALLY struggling are on here more so. Thanks for the insight, because when you hear all the talk you get the feeling that all relationships are doomed no matter what.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!Tongue
