I just wanted to post a message of a positive nature on Bipolar - something that I have tried so hard to find on these messageboards.

My BP husband left me 3 months ago, 1 month after we were married. Today we had our first marriage counselling session and although at the start of a long road back - I can see we will make it. My beautiful husband is still there, he showed me today. He is kind, warm, affectionate and loving. He is back on his medication 6 weeks now and trying hard to put the pieces back of our marriage.

So to those of you who's partners/husbands/wives/etc have run away - please do have faith - I know there is little to be found with this disease, but there is some.

Taya: Glad it went well! Sometimes our own imaginations are our own worst enemy.
"Well I won't back down
No I won't back down
You can stand me up at the gates of Hell
But I won't back down

No I'll stand my ground
Won't be turned around
And I'll keep this world from dragging me down
Gonna stand my ground
And I won't back down"

Glad to hear this. Gives me some hope. Our imaginations certainly can wreak havoc on us!

So glad it's going better for you. So true about our imaginations causing problems.

Imaginations and history repeating itself in our case. It's an anxiety driven person's worse nightmare. I am glad you're feeling a bit better about things for now but don't hesitate to share with us again.

I am so pleased for you and your husband! Thank-you for the uplifting news. Marriage is difficult enough without the drama of BP but even with a BP mate you can have a sucessful and content marriage. Thanks again!
