MDJunction to me

neshama48"Having Crohn's Disease for over 26 years, in the first few years, it lonely and isolating.
Though now my disease is in a near perfect remission, my friends and family are sympathetic to me, but I can not talk to them about this disease. When I stumbled across MD Junction, and met others who had the same disease I was not alone in battling the disease. MD Junction is like a second family, without the judgement or guilt of having Crohn's Disease, but they do give you love and support.

I thought I would create a general thread where you can post about anything really. If you're having a bad day and need to vent of if you have good news you want to share or even if you just need someone to talk to.

I know this is a work related forum and group but don't feel you have to stick to work related issues. You can discuss anything you wish, abiding by MDJ guidelines of course!

Please feel free to post Smile

I am not a Dr and therefore are not able to provide medical advice, the opinions I express are mine and based on my experiences and should not be taken as anything other than my opinion.

You awake as if from a nightmare to find yourself standing in front of a blank wall, dazed with no idea as to how you got there.

You feel something in your hand. You look down to see you are holding paint brush, you are confused. Out of the corner of your eye you see a table, on that table is some paint. The colours make you feel happy and safe, you look to the other side, and there is another table with paint. The colours are dark and remind you of your nightmare, a chill runs down your spine at the thought of it.

You look back at the canvas and see something you missed before. Now you understand. you chose a colour, and begin to paint.

Above the wall was written,

I have had a tough few weeks, my partner has been diagnosed with cancer so that weighs heavily, been struggling with studies as my brain feels like goo most of the time. I find it difficult to study because when I try to read the words make no sense, I hate that.

And to top it all off my dog has been up to no good back at my parents place so I need to get her sorted out. She is a working dog breed so has a lot of energy but my family hasn't been able to walk her enough to burn it so she has been a little destructive.

I am not a Dr and therefore are not able to provide medical advice, the opinions I express are mine and based on my experiences and should not be taken as anything other than my opinion.

Hi Yougfilly, Sorry to hear about your partner. It must take a lot of energy out of you to be dealing with that. I lost my mom to cancer a few years ago and it completly changed my life. Four months after she passed away I had a psychotic episode which caused me to "become" bipolar. I don't know if you become bipolar or if I always was, but I was normal before and now I'm not.

I've been feeling kind of down in the past week. I don't know if it's because it was father's day on the weekend (I lost my dad 12years ago), I don't know if it's weather related, I know I don't have PMS, so I can't blame it on that. Just down not much energy and trying to keep my head above water.

I'm at work right now. I called my boss to tell her I'm leaving at lunch. One of my bipolar coworkers is taking me to the spa to cheer me up! It's good to have someone around who understands what I am going through. I told my boss I was taking tomorrow off on sick leave cause I'm afraid this will get worst. I just want to feel a little better.

I hope everything will level out soon.

Still not feeling very good. Feeling a little under the wether. I got sick. I went to an outdoor spa and it was so hot and humid it was hard to stand. Sick I got sick about an hour after I came home. Oh well I knew this was coming I could feel it. I guess it was just heat stroke, but still happy I went.

We'll see how the weekend goesDizzy

Analog,

I hope by now you are feeling a lot better. It's a pity that a trip to a spa that was supposed to be relaxing made you feel unwell.

Where I am at the moment it is just raining on and off for the last week. Not much fun to walk the dog in...
