Todays visit was uneventful. The lad messed up in the bloodwork. The dr. thinks she has lupus now and wants to rule it out. She has to get a repeat of the test that will determine the clotting problem. That is the one lab messed up.

I wanted to give you the latest update. My daughters iron level is slowly going up. She definitely has a clotting disorder. The hematologist told us that every time she has surgery she will have to have a test done so she wont bleed to death. The dr. is having yet another blood test to see what inhibitor is causing the problem. He said she has to have this test done immediately. Makes me wonder what it means.

Thanks for all the continual support. I cant believe how close we came to losing my precious daughter so close to my moms bday.

It's hard to tell with doctors what they mean. I think the words they choose and the way they say it sometimes feed us with unecessary fear. They really need to be more sensitive and compassionate with their patients. I have learned through experience, when they say things like immediately to inquire further as to what they mean. Everyone's perception is different. What's urgent to one. may not be urgent to another for example. Anyway, I do hope all goes well Angel.

Finally can give a good report. My daughter now has a normal iron level. She still needs to take the iron supplement for another 4 months. The hematologist cant figure out what is causing the clotting issue. He says she will just need to have this one test done everytime she has surgery so she wont bleed to death. She probably will get lupus. Both the rheumatologist and hematoligist think she will. Thanks for all the support you gave me during this difficult time. Im glad we finally have some answers.
