I am sorry for this hard day coming up for you. Maybe you should find a special thing to do to honor him on that day. Maybe going to his grave and talking to him. I welcome you to this site and thank you for telling us your story. We are a caring community. I hope you find the peace and joy you are seeking. Feel free to pm me anytime or write anything here. We are here for you.

Hugs

I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how hard birthdays and other special days can be. By the time I was 16 I had lost both my parents. I quit celebrating my birthday for many years. It was such a difficult day without them. I pray you will have the strength you need to get through it. we will all be here for you to help any way we can

I am so sorry you lost your dad, I had a hard time when I lost my dad too. And even now 30 years later I still have days where the pain is enormous. Like singingangel said try to do something special on your birthday. I go to the grave every year and talk my heart out to him there but I also talk to him where ever I am at when I need his advice. You will find this to be quite beneficial as you go through your grieving as it does really help you to get those feelings out and deal with them. Anything I can do to help please just ask I have big enough shoulders and have been there. lots of hugs and love,

Susie
