I saw how two of us are having trouble getting into doing things like before the loss. Are you having same problem? If not how did you start doing things?

I still have trouble enjoying some of my activities. It is kind of weird. I still enjoy the music and getting the crafts ready for church. I am having trouble reading books, doing puzzles, etc. I dont know why.

I too find it difficult getting back to the things I used to like and enjoy. Feel like I'm in slow motion most of the time. I push myself to do things. I love shopping, going to Barnes & Nobles to pick up a book or 2. I used to go to craft shows and flea markets with my mom. Oh how she loved to do those things. Somehow, no matter how bad things were going for her, she always got out to find some enjoyment. I still like the things I shared with my mom. In fact, I pushed myself to do a few without her already. It was so hard the first times to be without her. I cried doing them. But interestingly, mom seems to always leave me a sign that she was with me. I really felt like she was with me in spirit, though it's hard not to have her physical prescence.

It is hard to get back to things.I have chosen like one thing at a time. Stick with hat one thing until you feel comfortable with it then add another thing. I found that the way to go. I took forever doing things. I still am working on getting everything back. Take it slow and steady. There is no rush.

big hugs

Lori

Good job trying to get back to where you were before.

I am now doing things better. I started to have myself read before bed. Now I need to read to help relax myself enough to fall asleep. We need to start with one thing at a time until it feels natural again. It will happen Rachael. I just takes time.

hugs
