 My sanctuary is just my living room. I have my moms picture that I talk to, sing to and sometimes even ask questions. I look through the photos of my mom also. I think it is good to acknowledge to yourself that you have had a loss in your life.

 Mine is my living room too .I have my dad's flag and my mom on the fireplace mantel.I talk to them and I have their pics sitting there .Seeing there smiling faces helps me alot
