I read that some people do that out of guilt. They need to resolve things with their parents. It is hard for me to completely believe that. I think some people just dont know how to treat others nice or are very manipulative. I know my sister will try to trick you intodoing things you dont want. She can be controlling also.

She has always been mean to mom. Now she is doing it to dad. She acts like it is a big bother to go see him when he only lives 5 mins from her. She told me she wont go see him except once a month if he is lucky.

I will look in other books to see about these difficult people.

i think you are right alot of people do things out of guilt (it is a small word but it can give so much hurt to other people) i really wish these people could see what they are doing and the hurt it is giving.

i know it is very hard but just try and think of the good things about your mum and dad, it is your sister who is losing out, she will not have any good times to look back on where you will, i think it makes it harded when it is a framily member that is saying the nasty things about your love ones. I know that your mum and dad are looking down on you and seeing a wonderful and loving daughter, and they will also love you. Your sister will have to live with the fact that she has done this to your Mum and Dad after they died with is not very nice, but then she does not sound very nice, don't listern to her put the phone down, or just tell her you don't want to hear what she has to say, because it makes you upset, if she is anykind of sister she will stop. I will keep you in my prayers and pray all will work out well.

I cannot understand how horribly people in families act after a loved one dies. To me, it's disgraceful! I'm a kind person who always considers the feelings of others and more people should be that way. Families should come together and support one another not bad mouth one another and create barriers. It's so sad and I feel for anyone who like me is going through family toubles following a death. My thoughts are with all of you here. Rachele.

I dont like it when they say one thing but really do things so others will think they are so good. I know when my sister said she only went to the funeral because she didnt want dad to say anything to her about not being there, it really botheed me. I am not sure why it should have since she has never said anything positive about mom when she was alive. It just seems like at least do it when the person can defend themself.

It would be nice if the family could support each other. Unfortunately we dont live in a perfect world.
