It is quite common with GERD to aspirate refluxate which will cause wheezing. My doctor increased my PPI (to 80mg omeprazole) as it was all he could do with medication but, although it stopped the acid, it didn't stop the reflux. You probably know all the advice to reduce reflux: eat small portions more frequently, don't eat for 3 hours before going to bed, use a wedge under the mattress or blocks under the head end to raise it 6 to 8 inches ...
