The following foods and drinks are common acid reflux triggers. While these foods may not cause a reaction in all patients, it is important to consume them in moderation.

(1)Caffeine- coffee,tea,soda...etc

(2)Chocolate-milk,dark,white...etc

(3)Sugar-cookies,sweets...etc

(4)Spices-chili,hot peppers...etc

(5)Citrus fruit-grapefruit,oranges,and lemons

(6)Tomatoes-does contain anti-cancer lycopene though!

(7)Fried foods: chicken,french fries,onion rings...etc

(8)Peppermint

(9)Onions

(10)Garlic

(11)Alcohol-especially red wine

(12)Tobacco products-should avoid these period!

Why is it everything most enjoy to consume is bad for us! Sad

I should note that certain steamed veggies such as turnip, broccoli, and cabbage are hard on the digestive tract but are a really healthy choice! You can benefit by putting these veggies through a juicer and it will be easier for your body to extract the nutrients! That is what I need to do and I find it easier on the digestive system.
