Here's the pertinent info you need, in case you don't have it already: Side effects Methylprednisolone may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away: headache dizziness insomnia restlessness depression anxiety unusual moods increased sweating increased hair growth reddened face acne thinned skin easy bruising tiny purple skin spots irregular or absent menstrual periods If you experience any of the following symptoms, call your doctor immediately: swollen feet, ankles, and lower legs muscle pain and weakness eye pain vision problems puffy skin (especially the face) a cold or infection that lasts a long time Honestly, your symptoms sound pretty typical of corticosteroid administration. And methylpred is a synthetic corticosteroid. If you got a higher dosage than you're used to, you'll exhibit more exaggerated symptoms than you'd normally experience. Not really surprising to me, but keep an eye on them. The side effects listed above are more typical of long-term, IV usage, but they can be experienced by anyone who has received any methylpred. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.
