Hi Mary, Welcome to the forum. I apologize that it took me so long to welcome you, but I've been away sick (and injured!), so I'm finally trying to get back into the swing of things. I have to echo Ally's first post, that until or unless we know exactly what's wrong with you, what your actual diagnosis is, and what kinds of tests you've had, it will be hard for us to help you. If you can let us know more about your situation, we can help you to make more informed decisions. So long as we don't know, we can't really tell you what kind of success surgery will have for you. We also need to know what kind of surgery has been recommended for you. All of the details that you can provide us will help us to help you. Please feel free to share, that is what we're all here for. We're normally a pretty active group. I think it's been hard for everyone having me gone and Dana (handle: blazyn) working and busy as well, to keep things going as strong. I usually check in daily, and Dana's been a lot more active until lately as well. So, things have fallen apart just a bit lately. But everybody usually comes together when everybody needs it! I'm not a doc, so anything I say is my opinion only. Nothing I say is meant as offense, I offer what I can as help. I believe in educating myself on all my medical issues and being my own advocate, for no one else with do that on my behalf. I recommend we all do the same!
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Perhaps I truly am insane for expecting these docs to listen to me when I say the same things repeatedly to no avail? LOL. I am tired of seeking out new docs and getting the same result time and again...Forgive me if I seem bitter some days.
