About a month ago, I figured I needed to see a new doctor for my back because I was breaking through all the medications I was taking. A very close friend of mine, who has the same back issues, and even had surgery which really didn't work, suggested I see a neurosurgeon... so I did, and let me tell you, this guy was a waste of time. He walked in and didn't even introduce himself or his assistant. First thing he said was,"...what would you do if I told you there was absolutely nothing I can do for you?" I simply said, "...I would be as frustrated as I was when I walked in here..." The long and the short of it is he told me to stay away from surgery and changed my muscle relaxer to Soma, from Flexeril and told me to come back in three months...I am not going to go back to him...it's too much money and time, to hear the same old story again... Maybe I should just go to a pain specialist, what do you all suggest? |
