I have been denied twice and now have to go on to a hearing! I am ver frustrated because I have been homebound and in a recliner for 5 months! Anybody else going thur this?

Unfortunately that's how most cases are. It generally takes around 18 months minimum to get a hearing. I understand how you feel though; I havent been able to work in almost a yr.

Wanted to update....I was approved for SSDI January 2012...Thank Goodness! My lawyer filed an OTR ... the Sr. Attn called her with his favorable decision and said I should not have been denied...he had never seen such a clear cut case!! God is good!!!

I have been waiting for disability for 3 years and been dealing with chronic pain for 16 years and in a wheelchair for the last 3 1/2 years.
Diagnosed with RSD/CRPS, fibromyalgia, and chronic pain from a herniated discs from L4 to S1. I'm a survivor of childhood & spousal abuse from my 1st marriage. I'm now married to my soul mate Andrew who survived Chrohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

Bless your heart! That is so discouraging I know. I am sure you have a lawyer....but what really won my case was my Dr documenting and all the MRI's. The more physical proof the better!! I guess you are awaiting a hearing date? Good Luck and I hope you get a quick decision!
