Hello to everyone and thank you for taking the time to read this introduction. I am a 38 year old mother of 3. My youngest (my miracle) is 9 years old and autistic. I call him my miracle since I had my tubes tied after my 2nd child and still 4 years later I have a son. My other two children are girls (20 and 13). I also have a 16 mos old granddaughter.

I am recently divorced (which is for the best for the whole family) but it has been difficult as well. My ex never did help out with our son or our daughters so that is not a change. Just is an adjustment to hear your children so angry about their dad and having to try to channel that anger and resentment when I have enough myself towards him that I have to keep in check.

I work full time as a system administrator but luckily for a company that when I need to go I can go but then again the pay is not that great either because of that. haha

This school year my son was put in public school (spec ed classes but two mainstreamed classes .. gym and music). (sigh) It has been a tough year on all of us. There were days I would go home and do what I needed to in the house then take a shower so I could cry. I sometimes feel I can't take one more day but he depends on me. I took out a decent life insurance policy (heaven for bid) just in case so my oldest has the finances to fight her dad in court for custody. I know that sounds harsh but he has no business taking the children he doesn't take them now for visits and when he has he made sure they knew they didn't matter.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm I am sorry for writing a novel. haha It has been a hard year. My mother has passed, my dad doesn't remember me (Alzheimer) and I have no siblings. I grew up and lived in ND for 30 years and then transplanted in GA 8 years ago so some days I feel completely alone. I am thankful I have my children though .. they are my family!!!!!!!!!

Hello Blueyd and Welcome to the Group!!!!!

I am soooo very sorry to hear (read) all of the pain in your post.

I too have three children. I too have had my tubes tied (please oh please don't let me get pregnant again). All three of my boys (3 1/2 year old twins and a 1 year old) are on the spectrum.

Thankfully, I have a loving husband. He has his moments where he is unsure what to do or how to act around the boys, but he is trying.

My hear goes out to you.

This is a wonderful group and I think you will find lots of communication and support here.

Again, Welcome!!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry if I come across only sad. I have lots of good days. Just have had a lot of rough ones lately. (medical expenses mainly) Even though I notice when I think about what is going on wow.. seems like a lot of bad. The good is we are all healthy and getting our life back on track (I hope). Just some days I do get worn out and wonder what on earth could happen next. I do hope to find time to be on here and maybe not feel so alone as I do here. Times like this I really miss my mom. I tell my children "You may not like each other right now but someday you will appreciate having someone else there when I'm gone".

I totally understand. WE all go through the up and down days. Sometimes the down days are way down and they are understandable too.

No need to apologize. We all go through it and we all understand here.

I saw your post in the other section of the group (response to a stimming post) and have just about commented there too
