Hi,

My name is Glenda. I have 2 sons, the oldest (2 yrs 8 months) was recently diagnosed with autism. We are living in the County Limerick area of Ireland.

we are still in the beginning stages of a lot of things and trying to learn as much as we can.

We also want to make a difference and help support autism and provide information that we know with others- we started http://www.autismandus.com but are looking for other ways to contribute so please let us know if you have suggestions! If you want to help us get the informational/support site going we would love your help too- just go there and send us a message that you want to help or share your story to encourage others.

Our son is very happy (so we are very blessed in that regard). He does not talk or communicate yet, but he did used to have about 20 words before he started losing them. He has problems with eating, sleeping, and imagination, social situations, and connecting or understanding others.

Our youngest son is 1 yr 2 months and has 4 teeth now (woohoo!) and says about 5 words.

I am American but my better half is Irish, and thats where we have lived for the past few years (since before ds1 was born!)

I love both my sons a lot! And I enjoy knitting to relax from the stress of it all. I look forward to getting to know you and thank you!

Glenda

Welcome Glenda!!!!!

So glad to have you.

I also enjoy crafts.

Right now, I have to run out the door to go pick up one of my children and take him to his OT appointment.

I will return later and post more to your thread.

Again, Welcome!!!
