Hi Donna - welcome to our group.

I hope you'll find what you're looking for.

are you satisfied with the school he's going to? would you recommend it to others?

Hieveryone,

Thanks for your welcome to the group! Im here in the UK. I am really happy with the school my son attends as before the age of 5 he had no speech until the school introduced him to the pecs system which we do at home and teacch programme. He is currently at 2-3 word level. But right now has alot of anxiety and impulsivity.

Do any of your children here use any medication at all for these issues.

Donna

Donna, could you please tell me what the house programme consists of? I'm extremely interested, and I'm so frustrated that in my time there were no special programs for problematic kids - would have made my life so much easier... My son was a nightmare, and it appears that my grandson will be a troublesome child as well. So I'm looking for all the information and ideas I can find. Sometimes I feel I haven't done enough for my son at home - partly because I didn't know what, and there was not much available. But now, I need to try more and do better, especially with the sea of knowledge around us. I don't even know if such programs are available in the US, but please, do tell.

Thanks a lot, Donna!

welcome and would like to know of the house program as well. Also I can relate to feeling I haven't done enough or do enough either and still looking for more knowledge. I know info is out there but unfortunately we as parents are not informed fully by the professionals.
