"MY SON HAS AUTISM" (LELE)

MDJunction to me

"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunny_fly)

Hi everyone My name is Georgina and My son Joseph now age 8 is Autistic he was diagnosed in 2003 with being part of the autistic spectrum with PDD and also adhd.. its been one big roller coaster with him and still is...We have 2 other children and its so hard sometimes to control him and his behavior he gets very rough when he plays and doesnt realize he is hurting people.. his moods change so frequently he goes from happy to sa to mad to confusded at the drop of a hat we are in the process of having him reevaluated to see if anything has progressed over the years we are mainly doing this cause his school is giving us a hard time he is in special education its 1 teacher 2 aides to 12 children all with different learning disabilities hes having alot of anger issues at achool and the test they ran at school they are saying is showing he isnt autistic due to his IQ test but we are fighting them on what they wnat to classify him as I feel they have no right to change anything he has been seen in the past by 3 different doctors from different states and they all diagonsed the same.. Between life at home and the way school is handling this we are at our wits end all we want to do is find help for our sonb so in a way he can finally feel somewhat normal and not be sad all the time and be confused as to why he acts the way he does.., Sorry this was so long but just glad to find outhers out there that might understand us

Georgina,

I know how you feel. My son is 6 and he is very aggressivew at times, and also can be very sweet. It will drive you crazy! I'm trying to find a pediatric specialist that deals with behavioral issues in my area to take him to. We live in Fl. do you know of any one there? I wish you all the best with your son. Sarah......
