MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Hello everyone. I am new to this group and very grateful that I have found it. I have 5yr old son who is autistic. He does a lot of things such as a lot of tumbling and turning carthwheels. He knows all his abc's and can count to 10. He knows the number and letters out of order so if you was to hold up the number 7 and ask him what is it he will tell you 7. He knows how to use computers, laptops and his fav webiste is Sesame Street and is able to navigate it on his own. His big setback is speech. He does not able to say complete sentence. He will take you to the fridge and pull out the juice and even knows to go into dishwater and what cup is his...just something is not allowing him to say that sentence "I want some juice." I hope joining this group there are others going thru the same things as me and able to shed some light on different methods they have used. I look forward to learning a lot from other as well as sharing what I find

welcome, I can relate, your son sounds a lot like my 5 yr old daughter. She can count, abc, colors, shapes, animal, sounds, etc.. can use computer, laptop etc.. but can not relate in complete sentences nor understands complete sentences. This site has been very informative, I hope you find the answers your are looking for, unfortunately I am in the same boat as you on this one.
