"MY SON HAS AUTISM" (LELE)

MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Sorry to hear about your poor little guy. I am not sure if it is the same for your son as it is for mine. My son got that way and still is from time to time when he gets 'over sensitive'. Depending on where we are or what may be going on around him he starts getting really itchy. His is mainly his back and back of his neck. His teachers learned from me that when they see him itching to watch the situation and it has helped them for diffusing his outbreaks at times. Not sure if I was of any help but it is a theory to look at.

Itching can be caused by many conditions. Probably the most common cause of itch is psychological, that is, due to stress, anxiety, etc. Stress also can aggravate itch from other causes. Dry skin is another frequent cause of itch.

skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus and rosacea,

an infection, such as chickenpox or scarlet fever,

an intense itch of a particular part of your body may be due to the presence of lice (body lice, head lice, ),

a skin infection caused by a tiny mite (scabies),

anal itch, this is common and may have many causes, including threadworms and haemorrhoids (piles),

a fungal infection (tinea), which can lead to itching between the toes (athlete's foot), in the groin (jock itch) or on the body (ringworm),

insect bites and stings, which may cause localized itching and skin irritation,

sunburn or dry skin, and

prickly heat, which is a very itchy rash that appears in hot, humid weather.

Itching can be caused by a reaction to a medicine, or an allergy to many things, including cosmetics or fabrics, contact with certain metals (such as nickel), or contact with poisonous or stinging plants. The itchy red welts of hives (urticaria) on the surface of the skin are usually an allergic reaction to food or medicine.
