A MUCH NEEDED TWIST!.As we all know A and AS have been around for a long time so I feel we are opening doors. Yet, I feel we can open more and as we all know we have been beating the doors of all that will listen.I feel it is time for the toy compaines to understand as well.

Thay are for the betterment of children and they really do understand how important play is for children but I dont think they understand A or AS all they seem to understand is the word Disability. We have to let them understand there is a fun,and yes sometimes funny person behind the illness.Like my son is 7 and has AS still nonver and still in diapers but if i lose something mostly the remote and he understands what i am looking for he'll help look and when he finds any remote even the one right on the table he'll put out his hand and say DA DA.Start writing the other side to this illness as others dont understand there is a human beyond the illness and really cant look at them as people i am sure others see them as non feeling maybe not even human just a disability! So I hope we can start to call,e-mail toy companies you know they donate toys but we get nothing not even our name on their list that has to show us they dont understand.Autism Awareness phone messages as well e-mails to toy companies well start maybe a much needed change.MATTELL CHILDRENS FOUNDATION E-MAIL (foundation@mattel.com)Fisher Price Brands tele 716-3000 fax 716-687-3636.I faxed...Toys R US main #973-617-3500 w.toysrusinc.com).international toy show NY #212-675-1141 So far I have called e-mailed or even done all of the above as well faxed. To open awareness to the people that cater to children.I have Hasbros numbers only but these numbers are for media only.but as i was given an invite to write on a news blog i'll ask this place to call e-mail and so on.if we all join in everyday as well family members, friends and whoo ever wants to the more the better as "the squiky wheel gets the oil" I thing soon we will see a much needed change.if you dont feel com talking to the person call after hours and leave a message.thats just as important just write a short message of what you have to say.WOW! keep on keeping on.remember we are asking for toy donations.and to live in a different light for our children and others w/ disabilities and that is (AS HUMENS FRIST)! Autism is a vast disorder and is not learned quickly. Autism one is a good resource and so is http://www.autismfamilygathering.orgThey have vidoes which help people understand what it is. I would also suggest getting a DAN Doctor to assist you in this. You can go to http://www.defeatautismnow.com/ they can help you as well. After diagnosis first steps is a great resource to help you. Your doctor should help you with that information.

It will take time but you will get there.
