Hello everyone! We just completed the official evaluation on our 4 yr old son and the diagnosis is Aspergers with PDD . Our prediction was certified, because all we read pointed to this conclusion. My question is actually about me. Does anyone know of any accurate evaluations or tests that determine adult Aspergers or Autism? Dealing with my son has brought to my attention that I am probably borderline Autistic or suffered from Aspergers myself all through my life. I had mild OCD's and social anxiety problems, but when i read the details of Aspergers it sounded exactly like the problems I've had all my life. Any thoughts? Who should I contact to perform an adult evaluation? James

I hear more and more adults ask for help finding services from themselves, including a diagnosis. Typically, adults recognize their own traits as they are going through the diagnositic process with their child or children. I think it is challenging to find someone you are comfortable with and will provide you with the support you need; however, I believe that psychologists are becoming more aware of the need to support adults with Autism.

The ADOS asssessment is usally done for adults that is the one i had done.

You have to get your GP to refer you to a clinical phycologist and she will do it for you.

this is an adult test online it does not diagnose but gives you a general idea of your problems and gives you some evidence to take with you
