Hi Everyone, I know I look forward to checking this site every few days. There haven't been very many postings lately and I just wanted to encourage people to post. Even posting your frustrations will help me and others feel like we are not alone! My big frustration right now is dealing with my son constantly pushing an object around the room aimlessly. When I try to engage him with it , I can sometimes get him back for a few minutes at a time and maybe I should just be happy with that for now. But often he just goes right back to pushing and I can't seem to figure out what bothers him. I know he knows how to play with these toys because his therapists and I play with these toys with him. He's also doing tons of looking at things out of the extreme corner of his eye while he turns his head away from where he is going or what he is looking at. I'm working hard on trying to not get frustrated and just trying to understand better what HE is going through instead of focusing on how frustrated I AM. Thanks to all who read and post here on the autism online support group. I have made some wonderful contacts here in such a short time. Have a great weekend everyone - (I'll be working all weekend 7p-7a so I'll be checking the site in my off time.)bye for now from beantown - JennyfromBostonWink
