"I HAVE A SON WHO HAS AUTISM" (SHYANGEL)

MDJunction to me

"I have been struggling with Fibromyalgia, Bipolar, Anxiety, Post traumatic Syndrome for quite some time and pretty much going it alone. I stumbled across MDJunction by accident. I stayed in the shadows and just watched for four days and then I joined, feeling relieved and excited to have found a safe place with alot of folks that I could relate to . It's proove to be medically and emotionally
helpful to me and now I can't go a day without coming in at least 4 or five times a day! I Love my family here.

Hi,

Just wondering since all 3 of your boys are on the ASD. I know my husband's cousin from Finland is a definite Asperger's and a savant. My father definetly has issues maybe asperger's which has led to depression and anti social behavior in his older years.

Are your kids mellow (as any boys can be). My son can definetly be a handful - but that is just his nature - he's a little spitfire just like me.

We are in So Cal in the HB area.

Oh just to let you know, I'm not the one you're asking the question to it seems like obviously, lol as I don't have kids, but I just gotta add this...

My dad has traits of AS (it many times if one parent has AS many times it is the father who has traits rather than mother; that coming from diagrams and stuff)... Anyways, I think he is maybe 1/2 a puzzle piece (as I like to say!) My oldest brother shows great traits (not so much sensory though) but he def. has it. Also, my cousin has Aspergers Syndrome as well. His sister, my other cousin has 'dash' traits of it and had learning disabilites. It's interesting how Autism can run in families but w/ the theories the agents passed down in generations from the umbilical cord (from envrionment, etc.) it's not surprising.

Oh, and the boys it has diagrams that Autism well they say more likely than girls but that actually may change now (info.) but they are prone to more outbursts and aggression especially because of something with their testosterone levels with agents commonly seen in Autistic patients. (urine, blood, etc.)

Big hugs,

Kris
