MDJunction to me

HiddenButterfly"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (HiddenButterfly)

I'm an Advocate

Hi, I'm Brenda. My son was diagnosed with an auio processing disoder a couple of months ago. I have been fighting for close to four years trying to figure out what was wrong. About a year and a half ago, I found some information on APDs and after doing research thought that it sounded very clos to my son. Since he was only in kindergarten, the school would not do anything to test him, and he was held back. After his reading ability dropped over a grade level, they finnally decided to startr testing him. All they could say was that what I had been telling them was right. I wanted to scream at them. OF course I was right. I am his mother after all, why shouldn't I have known what was going on with my own son?I am just so glad that there is finnally a place that people can come to to talk about the issues surrounding APDs and trying to get people to understand what they are.

Love is never wrong
Remember how they taught you
How much of it was fear
Refuse to hand it down
