MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Hi my name is Tammi I am 38 and a stay at home Mom of 3 we have 6 kids all together 3 boys and 3 girls ranging in age from 16 to 4 some of them also have asthma but its mostly illness induced.

Mine started when I was a child and has progressed with age its pretty bad right now with a cronic cough that keeps the whole household awake at night and often gets me sent to the couch to sleep.

The doctor just put me on Prednisone to try to get it under control and the pred is keeping me awake at night along with the nasty cough.

I sort of feel like I am living in hell its hard to do any thing with out coughing and feeling like I am going to puke from coughing so hard.

Any way I am hoping to meet other people here who can relate to what I am going through and hopefully have some helpful hints on things to do for sleep and stuff like that.

Nice to meet you all!

Tammi (aka) FroggyMom

Hi Tammy,

I sure hope things have gotten better for you in the last month. I have only recently joined the group but I am going through much the same thing. I had a URI so my current regimen is pred, antibiotics, neb treatments as well as the usual symbicort, zyflo, zyrtec, flonase and protonix.

Coughing and sleeplessness factor into my daily ativities too, just now.

Feel better,

Tom

I was once on Prednisone and I know a bunch of other people on Prednisone. Most people I know on Prednisone don't sleep. I am not sure if there is something in the stareroids that do it or not but I had problems I would go to bed at 3 (if I slept at all)
