MDJunction to me

jayna01"My name is Jayna and I wanted to take this opportunity to say how much MDJunction has meant to me. I always felt so alone before I joined in April of 2012. I felt like there wasn't anyone that really cared about me and what I was going through. I felt like there was no one that would truly listen to me in what I was feeling. Nobody was there for me. That is before I found MDJ!

I have found and met such good people on these forums. I never ever knew there were such compassionate people before MDJ. It's also nice to know that I can come here anytime and get support for what I am feeling. I feel like I have met some wonderful life long friends. It is also an outlet for me to try and help other people that are hurting. It gives me a good feeling inside and gives me self confidence in helping other people.

I hope MDJ will be as good for you as it has been for me! Many Blessings and Much love.

I want my partner of over 20 years and I to start going to a support group. My last ditch effort to get him to start taking my chronic ashma seri!ously. I figure if he can meet real people it will help alot.

I have a genetic Lung disease and on high liters of oxygen for past 20 years. I am wheelchair bound and completely dependent on my partner who is my caregiver.

Last night he put oil in our furnace that almost killed me. When I couldn't breathe I yelled poison. He closed up all the windows. I got him to open. He becomes very angry at me for yelling. He was afraid the neighbors would hear. He said that he heard the furnace and only put a few drops of oil in.

It seems like every other day now it's something else. He has a new boat behind our home and he'll turn the motor on that reay hurts my breathing. When I call him and if I'm lucky he will answer his cell phone. I'll tell him that the gas is hurting me terribly. He'll hang up on me and get mad at me the rest of the night . The stress that I have been going through not only from these obvious triggers but his temper is stressing me where I can not breathe. Last night I had to pretend that I was calling the police to get him to stop yelling at me. That resulted in him being very very angry at me.

He is my paid caregiver and controls everything. If he goes I go to the nursing home which would be a death sentence. Are there any places out there in the way of housing that would be considered safe of chronic

asthma patients in san diego, ca.? If anyone can e-mail me at misspr@cox.net I sure would appreciate it.

TIA!

This is my first time reaching out. I hope someone has a support group idea we could attend on a regular basis. He needs someone to keep a monthly eye on him. I'd love to get someone to come to my home and explain to him how important it is to clean.

Hi Hun

You need to get your partner's attention .

You need to get him to sit down and talk to you face to face.

You need to explain that you need his help .

And you need to explain that you are upset from his recent behavior.

This is a very personal situation between you and your partner.

Support for this can not come from outside your partnership.

hugs, Raoul

Thanks Raoul but I must disagree. I'm going public with my private delemma because after more then 20 years I"m obviously not getting anywhere and I know that if he could meet other people in person like me it would certainly help so I'm looking for a public support group in san diego..

Thanks Raoul. I appreciate your feedback. I thought about what you suggested and I think I might have missed your point first time read. Smile Maybe I should call all the hospitals around to look into a physical support group.....I wish I had more asthma sufferers out there to connect with.

Thanks for your referrals. I'm very familiar with both. I'd like one that focuses on asthma. I'll call them and see.
