Just thought I'd say hello.  I don't have any kids, but I'm an adult (31 yo) in the process of getting diagnosed myself. I have also felt the lack of support since I feel like I have nowhere to turn to. If I rememeber right, AS wasn't even formally recognized until 1994 and I was a senior in high school and over the yrs I've felt a lot of frustration and ignorance from professionals. I don't know if this relates any to what you deal with having a son (it is a son, right??? I don't remember, sorry!!!!) with AS."I'm Amanda and I approve this message." |
