My son was recently diagnosed and we are in the process of testing. He has been discriminated against and I am home now on Admin Leave. Our family has a huge battle a head of us and it is hard to talk to my husband, I am looking for someone to share ideas with and get more information. It is nice to meet you all and I look forward to chatting.

Thankfully I started working for the Army before he was diagnosed. They can't put me out now. They are required to provide care. I have opened a can of worms, you all my see me on the news in a few months. I am starting a new special needs prgram fro the army. I will pilot it this year in Georgia....As to having to stay home, read the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) By law they are required to provide your child care. Also call your state number and find the child intervention services number. They will be able to lead you to services. The NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ACT demands they do not fall through the cracks, but it is only a piece of paper. We as parents must bring it to life and light and fight the fight. Keep your head up, you can do it!

Look for a NAEYC accredited program, they have to work with. If they don't you can call NAEYC Headquaters and start getting some attention.
