I am so sorry that I have not been around latly. I have been in so much pain lately and have been doing nothing but laying on my couch to even move my legs hurt or should I say just to touch my bones hurt. I will try to be around more now that i finally got to see a dr for pain meds. Once again im so sorry for not being here for everyone.

Hugs mary

I'm so sorry to hear about your pain. What pain medication did the doc prescribe for you? I, too, have been in a lot of pain but right now I think I'm getting the flu. I guess that is a stupid way to say it-I have it, not that I'm getting. I ache so badly. I want my hubby to see what you wrote. I want my family to realize it's not just me. How long has this been going on, your pain. I know, I'm babbling. I flip flop with what I say. Anyway, I really do hope your pain subsides. Could it be from the weather? We got up to around 65 degrees today. That is very odd for March in Wisconsin but I am very happy. Take care!

Janet,

I been suffering with fibro, nuropathy in my legs since 05 and 2011 I was diagnosed with osteo/artheritas in my knees along with degenetive bone disease in my legs. The pain got so bad I wanted to cut my own legs off and was willing to pay to have a dr make me paralized I just couldnt take the pain any more. The pain is so bad it hurts to wear cloths so the only thing I can wear on my legs is soft cotton pj bottoms but even them touching my legs hurt. Its not fun being in pain 24/7 and not seeing a way out. It not only makes you depressed but makes it hard to sleep because my bones hurt to even lay down so im not sleeping on the couch due to the bed hurting my bones. The dr wanted to give me the pain patch but I told him I was alergic to it and he didnt care im just glad the ins wouldnt pay for it. So now im on oxycodone and gabapantine which at least helps a little and its better then nothing so im greatful. Im in Cali and im just glad its not that cold here we really didnt have a cold winter so im glad but this pain is normal for me even in the hot weather. Thank you so much for the response its good to know im not alone.

Oh my goodness, Mary, I know exactly what you mean. I, too, am in pain 24/7. I wear my pjs most days. Some days I can't even do anything but lay down in bed. I use my heating pad most of the time. I don't do well in the summer. I also have degenerative disk disease. My knees are awful, shoulders, elbow, (left side), lower back pain since I can remember. I, too, take gabapentin. My doc won't give me oxycodone. He has me on Ultram and a million other pills. Course, I have so many other problems, skin, allergies, etc. My dermatologist said I am a very complex person. Smile I'm so tired of the brain fog. How is it for you? Do you still drive? I do but don't drive much anymore. I just don't always trust myself.

I'm going to watch a show then get to bed. Oh, I almost forgot, I've told my husband that I am to the point that I just wish I could die. I said I wouldn't kill myself but that it'd be ok if someone else killed me. He thought I was awful for saying that but then we were watching something where this lady had lymes and said the same thing. I looked at hubby and said, "See, I'm not the only one. That is exactly how I feel most times!"

Janet,

I say the same thing I truly understand how that feels. I use to go to the dollar store and see a saw and tell my husband if he buys it ill cut my own legs off. Thats how the pain feels and its terrible to feel that way. The fog is is so bad I bearly remember my name at times. I cant drive anymore being in a wheelchair makes it impossible for me plus I would never trust myself to drive. I hate the pain im in but I feel so greatful to be alive especially after the beating I say if all I have to deal with is the pain and wheelchair im blessed. Since he tried to kill me I should be greatful he got tired of beating me with the pipe full of cement but at times its hard to stay upbeat.

Have a great night mary

Hi Mary, I am so glad there is this site to go to so we can meet with others who know exactly what it feels like. Oh it is so nice to read what I could be writing. Not happy you are going through the pain but happy we can relate. I do still drive at times but there are the times I wonder if I could, realize I shouldn't so I don't but then there are the times I just go ahead because I need something or have to get somewhere. I just pray I don't injure anyone in the process.

Blessings!

Janet

Hi Janet,

I am like you I am so greatful for this site I dont have any friends so being in the house all the time is hard and even though I wouldnt wish this pain on no one I am so glad I have people I can talk to that can relate. Before I found this site I thought I was losing my mind like this pain cant be real. I stopped driving when it took me 2 hrs to drive 4 blocks. I was coming home from the store one day and the pain was so bad I had to pull over and rest well after 30 mins I tried again and could bearly move half a block so that was it for me in driving I was afraid not only get stuck somewhere but hurting someone. I was so scared that day and I was afraid to call my son at work to come get me but when he came home I was crying and when I told him what happened he took my keys and told me mom you cant drive no more I dont want nothing to happen to you if you need to go anywhere ill take you when I get home so thats what we ended up doing.

Mary
