MDJunction to me

djfilippone"Before I found this site I felt so alone.  Watching my daughter struggle with IH and being treated like she had two heads from doctors.    I have plenty of family and friends but there was nobody that really knew what she was going through.
I not only have support and love from others who will listen and share their
story, but I have made some forever friends.  Having this support site does make a difference to many.

Well, I went up the hill in the backyard to feed the dogs. We have a 8 or 9 ft hill in the back yard that goes straight up and then levels off for a flat area. That's where the dogs are. So I feed them in the dark and was walking back to the house. I guess I got closer to the side of the hill than I thought. That wouldn't have been a big deal at all except......I got dizzy, lost my balance and fell down the hill. Slid all the way down the side of the hill. Skint my foot and hurt my hip but nothing too bad. I may have broken some toes but that's nothing new. I also grabbed out instinctivly to stop myself and hurt the mess out of the ribs that were already hurting.

What a day!

Oh, Amy, I am so sorry you fell. Why don't you put some lights so you can see where the hill begins and ends? You don't need to be falling like that. You have enough problems as it is.

Please take care.

Well it's never a big deal. I just happened to get a little too dizzy at the wrong moment! I'm doing all right today. Sore, but I don't think anything's broken. My foot's scraped up and bruised and my hip's bruised. The ribs are still killing me but what's new right?

You need to start wearing the football helmet, knee pads, shoulder pads, etc so you won't get hurt when you fall. lol

Does some of the medicine make you dizzy or cause you to fall?

I joked to my husband I needed steel toe slippers because I stump my toes so much! No the meds don't make me dizzy. I just go through spells of vertigo or my b/p will drop low. Both cause the dizziness. Really irratiting.

Do you take Antivert for the dizzyness with Vertigo? I have vertigo and when I am having a spell, I take the Antivert.

I wish I could be there to help watch out for you. I worry about you. You are so young to have so many problems. It will help if you knew what was causing the problems. Hopefully, you will know soon.

Laugh, live, love!

I don't. I need to call the neuro back and get a standing order. He told me last time that if I needed it to call him.

Good. With all your problems, you do not need dizziness nor do you need to fall.

I did put in a call to the neuro around lunch time about the dizziness and checking on the test for the ehlers danlos syndrome. I think I may have actually chipped a bone on top of my foot. It's very bruised. It's functioning fine though so I'll deal with it.

Oh and I forgot to add that, just to make this week really great, my stove exploded this morning. I was making fries, stepped into the living room to turn the tv and heard a whoosh buzz like sound. Run into kitchen and smokes everywhere. The coil blew up and the back was smoking. I guess a power surge? Anyway I have it unplugged because if I don't the eye that exploded is always on and won't go off. Just what I needed. Oh and of course my unemployment runs out this week and I do not have either my car payment money for last month or money for Madison's new glasses. What a week. I hope it ends on a better note!
