I'm not sure if this is the forum i should be asking this question on but I thought I would give it a shot. I have SI joint dysfunction my hip is out of place it seems like once a quarter. LOL I did 4 months of PT which helped me incredibly, I had the nerve block done as well a year ago. This week thanks to a terrible hotel bed last week the pain is back. But it's only when i'm sleeping once i can get out of bed almost 20 minutes later and after i've walked it off the pain is gone. Trust me I'm gratefully i know it can be worse. i've been doing tylenol and motrin but not too much just to take the edge off is all because it's so bad in the a.m. i lay down with out any pain but about an hour after laying down it starts. the knife stabbing pain i think my hip slips out of place during the night. does anyone ever have this happen and if so what do you do to keep it from happening? i tried sitting and sleeping but that hurts eventually too. i tried the pillow between my knee as well. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. I'll try anything.

Have you tried a memory foam mattress or mattress cover? I had a lot of hip pain before I went to a memory foam mattress which helped a lot.
