I have found this is key to relieving arthritis pain. I've done all the top name supplements, had the chicken comb shots, and had knee scoped.

I was told I needed a knee replacement nothing else could be done. At 20 thousand for a knee job and lost my insurance I was on my own.

This lead me to find one thing that really helped MSM. I buy mine at the local feed store ( money issues) along with DMSO. I take from 1-2 tablespoons a day for a year or two now. I believe this to be one of the b...

I've seen the effects of RA. It can be so cruel. My grandfather suffered with it, and unfortunately the medical knowledge wasn't what it is now. I'm glad to hear to are doing well despite your challenges. :)...

Hi CatBallou. Bursitis is an inflammatory condition, where the bursa - a fluid filled sack - basically becomes swollen. Unfortunately it's a long road to recovery, especially in the shoulder. It can cause frozen shoulder, which can take up to 12 months to recover from. Anything to do with the shoulder isn't fun at all....

Hi Frustrated. Degenerative discs and SI joint problems are extremely painful, I know. I have arthritis in my lumbar spine and SI joints. There are days when I can't move because of the pain. So know you aren't alone.

It is difficult to get pain meds because we build a tolerance to them, and require more and stronger ones. I do understand your frustration with procedures. I have heard your health system over there is - difficult - to say the least. I'm in Australia, where we have a very diff...

Methotrexate is one of the first medicines my doctor prescribed. It made me nauseated, so she changed it to an injection each week that I give myself. That helped the nausea. I also take folic acid.

I have lost very much hair. I asked the nurses at the office if my medications were making me lose hair. They said, Yes. We didn't want to tell you until you noticed.

Could be different for each patient....

Arthritis in your spine is incredibly painful - probably because the spine supports EVERYTHING, therefore takes a lot of pressure. I have OA in my lumbar spine and SI joints.

Arthritis comes in different forms, such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. These are only two examples - there are more. With osteoarthritis (OA) there are degenerative changes in the cartilage between the joints. When the cartilage wears right down, the bones can rub against each other, and form bone spurs.
Oops! I thought I'd replied here. My bad!

I'm really sorry to hear you struggle so much when its raining. i can relate to that. and it rains a LOT where I am.
:-/ It's so difficult to keep things moving, push the limits just that little bit - just so our life doesn't become overwhelming because of things we can't do any more. I think that is the worst part. Having limitations forced upon us. It is so frustrating. And just not fair!

Keep fighting the good fight. :) We need to keep our con...
